I met Nancy a while back and she is a complete sweetheart, she's one of those people that you immediately love because aside from being sweet she has an amazing heart. When I did the photoshoot for her and Charlie I saw this beautiful connection, one that needs to words, because it was obvious how much love they have for each other. On May 2, 2015 Charlie proposed to Nancy and it was a magical moment for both of them (can you believe he proposed to her in their new home!! Nancy had no idea she was not only getting a fabulous ring but a house as well) I asked Nancy to tell me a bit about how they met and this is what she had to say:
"It takes no time to fall in love, but it takes years to know what love really is." (Jason Mraz) Wow! Where do I begin!!! Charlie and I meet in High School, we had mutual friends therefore we would hang out more often. As days...weeks...and years passed my feelings for him grew. But clearly he had no feelings for me. I was heartbroken!! As time passed, we both graduated & took different paths. I moved to a different city and he stayed behind & with time we lost contact. One day I received a call that changed my life drastically. Yes, it was Charlie expressing his feelings to me and how he wanted to get to know me. I was so in shock, I didn't know what to tell him so I asked him to call me later. When he did call me I told him that my feelings for him never went away and deep down I always had hoped that someday he will feel the same for me. So of course after that we kept in touch, I eventually moved back to Midland. Time passed and on October 14, 2013, Charlie asked me to be his girlfriend, I was so happy!!! Throughout the years we've created beautiful memories that I will cherish forever.
I know that all the proposals are unique but mine is far my favorite. It was beautiful!! On May 2, 2015, Charlie insisted on making an appointment with Naeli for pictures. I tried not to think about it to much. Before taking pictures Charlie said we were stopping by to get some frozen yogurt but we got a call from a good friend of ours asking for help at this house he was at. So he gave us the address and we arrived. Charlie went inside and I stayed in the truck with our friend Melissa. As we were talking, Elijah came to the truck telling us to come inside the house because it was hot outside. I didn't want to go inside but he insisted. So as I was walking inside the house, I saw Charlie standing in the living room surrounded by paper flowers and old pictures of us. Beside him was a big sign that said WILL YOU MAKE THIS OUR HOME? I immediately ran to him and couldn't stop hugging him. He then expressed himself about our time together and he got on one knee. Pulled out a little black box and the ring was perfect!!! When he asked, "Will You Marry Me?" I said, "YES!!!" He showed me around our future home" Congratulations once again Nancy & Charlie.
